Starting Early On Was the Key to Success
We joined them for a site visit during the early construction phase, hard hats on, alongside the broker team from Katya Homme Properties. After ascending to the rooftop in a crew lift and climbing unfinished concrete stairways, we stepped into what was still a raw shell of space—but the vision was already clear. What would eventually emerge was a spectacular corner residence designed to function as both a refined private retreat and an exceptional hospitality property for family, friends and premium guest stays.
From the outset, this was far more than a furnishing project. By combining two high-floor units into one expansive residence, the owners had an opportunity to create something highly customized and deeply intentional. Floor plan revisions, enhanced electrical planning, custom lighting, structural reinforcement for a must-have terrace hammock, and a carefully considered punch list all became part of the design conversation early on.
Together, we mapped out the full lifestyle vision: color palette, a clear decor theme, functional needs, hosting priorities, and the all-in investment required to bring it to life. With firsthand experience renovating a chic apartment in New York while balancing extensive travel and dual-career demands, these owners were already well versed in remote decision-making.
