A Worldclass Setting: Set on a secluded beach cove along the wild coastline of Litibu, Nayarit, CASA CHILLAX has undergone a stunning transformation from a modest short-term rental into a fully reimagined luxury villa. Spearheaded by visionary new owners from Mexico City, their goal was clear: to create a soulful, serene retreat designed for unforgettable guest experiences and strong rental returns.
How It Started: CRATE Interiors joined the project at the outset, conducting a full site walkthrough and delivering a comprehensive renovation roadmap. From concept to cost estimates, with recommendations for every aspect of the project. Within 90 days, the two-level villa, surrounding pool deck, and coastal gardens were revitalized by the owners and their architect team.

The Vision: Next came a full interior design plan inspired by the young couple’s travels to Tulum, Southern California, Morocco, and their residences in Punta Mita and Rancho Estates MX. The result: a harmonious blend of off-whites, linens, tactile accents, and curated artwork—all delivered on time, on budget and on brand.
The Challenge: When construction delays paused progress, CRATE stepped in to warehouse furnishings until white-glove installation could be scheduled. On delivery day, captured in this video, the design team arrived with a full crew to stage the property with precision and care, transforming it into a spectacular turnkey rental-ready destination.
The now boho-contemporary villa is fully staffed and designed for both intimate escapes and large-scale events.

Outside, commercial-grade lounge furniture and curated details ensure comfort and elegance, day or night. Throughout the space, bespoke lighting was created from handmade fishing baskets to reference the culture of the region. A massive custom table was created from a single plank of primavera wood, seating 12 in comfort and style under the covered loggia.
